Loft Storage Stilts for the government recommended 270mm of wool insulation

Loft Storage Stilts have been created to make a raised boarded area in your loft above 270mm of wool insulation. This ensures the insulation isn’t compressed and there’s adequate airflow to maintain U-values. They also prevent the insulation from being compressed over time by the items stored above and maintain its insulating properties.

Stilts can be used alongside all types of wool insulation including EcoLoft Non-Itch which is made from recycled plastic bottles. The stilts also allow for the government recommended 270mm of wool insulation.

How many Loft Storage Stilts are included in a pack?

One pack contains 12 stilts – which covers up to 2.88m² of boarded loft space

Installation

The Stilts need to be fixed in place with self-tapping screws (30 x 4mm / 8 x 3/4)

Suitable for most joist widths between 1-2 inches (35mm – 52.5mm).

Before installation ensure the joists and structure can support the additional loads stored on top of the stilts, the maximum weight loading limit is 50kg per square meter.

Delivery

Next working day delivery is available on all orders placed before 2 pm (UK Mainland)

Orders placed after 2 pm Friday will be delivered the following Tuesday.
