The reflective product is fully certified for use in roofs, walls and floors. It effectively controls condensation and air tightness, whilst offering excellent thermal benefits.
We advise using our Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape when installing F0il-Tec. When taping and sealing it ensures the products works as a VCL. Furthermore, we advise the product to reflect into a cavity, before a service cavity and plasterboard.
In a wall the product has a certified R-Value of 1.48m2 K/W. This figure equates to the same performance as 32mm Mineral Wool whilst only being 1mm thick!
YBS Foil-Tec can also be used independently as an insulation membrane for floor applications. This product is often used alongside SuperQuilt Multifoil for additional thermal benefits.
