Introducing our Latest Product – EcoQuilt65
Ecohome Insulation is at the forefront of environmentally friendly insulation solutions. We would like to introduce you to their newest innovation in thermal technology – EcoQuilt65. This cutting-edge product represents a breakthrough in insulation efficiency, offering unparalleled thermal performance and versatility for a wide range of applications. In this guide, we will delve into the features, benefits, and uses of EcoQuilt65, and how it is revolutionising the insulation industry.
What is Multifoil Insulation?
Multifoil insulation is a type of insulation that consists of multiple layers of reflective foil material. This insulation is designed to reflect heat and prevent it from escaping, making it an effective solution for improving energy efficiency in buildings.
For many years, multifoil insulation has been around however, advancements in this technology have elevated its capabilities. By incorporating multiple layers of reflective doil with low-emissivity surfaces and insulating core materials, multifoil insulation creates a highly effective barrier against the transfer of heat through radiation, conduction, and convection.
Builders and home owners have depended on conventional insulation products such as fibreglass and mineral wool. Nevertheless, these resources frequently do not meet expectations in terms of effectiveness, ease of installatio, and long term durability. In order to address these constaints, multifoil insulation provides thin, lightweight, and extremely efficient options.
The EcoQuilt range has become established as a pioneer in the field of multifoil insulation. The initial version, EcoQuilt Expert, was the first of its kind and gained recognition from both DIY enthusiasts and professional builders for its exceptional thermal properties and user-friendly design. Continuously striving to enhance their offerings, the brand has now introduced EcoQuilt45 and the newest addition, EcoQuilt65.
Technical Details of EcoQuilt65
EcoQuilt65 is made from 19 layers, carefully designed to improve tje tjermal efficiency of the product. These layers include reinforced heavy-duty foil outer layers, reflective PET foil layers, and recycled quilt layers.
The intricate layering system creates a robust barrier against the transfer of heat, effectively capturing warmth in the colder months and deflecting heat during the hotter months.
Reflective Foil
EcoQuilt65 has developed a unique reflective foil that sets it apart from traditional aluminium sheets. The foil on EcoQuilt65 has been designed with enhanced reflectivity and durability, outperforming standard reflective materials by reflecting up to 95% of radiant heat.
Reducing Thermal Bridging
This product offers a notable advantage in reducing cold bridging, which is when heat moves through materials that are more conductive than the surrounding insulation. The product’s multifoil layers are uninterrupted, forming a seamless thermal barrier that reduces heat loss through structural components like studs and joists. Moreover, the recycled quilt layers work together with the foil to slow down heat transfer via conduction.
Moisture Management
Effective insulation plays a crucial role in managing heat and moisture. When sealed and fixed with the use of Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape, it creates a Vapour Control Layer (VCL) that restricts the movement of moisture, safeguarding the insulation and the building from potential water damage. As a result, the building remains dry and free of dampness.
Specification for EcoQuilt65
Thermal Resistance
EcoQuilt65 is our most efficient product, with a core R-value of 2.040m²K/W that has been tested internally. This impressive R-value can also be translated to 2.94m²K/W for flat or pitched roofs. In timber frame or stud walls, the expected R-value could reach 3.38m²K/W. When used for flooring, EcoQuilt65 can offer an R-value of up to 4.73m²K/W.
Size and Measurements
EcoQuilt65 is currently offered in rolls that are 1.5m wide and 10m long, giving a total coverage of 15m². The thickness of the insulation is 65mm, but it will compress during installation.
We also offer EcoQuilt65 as a Trade Pallet Deal, this consists of 6 rolls of EQ65 at a reduced price, along with free rolls of Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape, and a Staple Gun Kit which includes 5,000 14mm staples.
Applications
EcoQuilt65 has been designed to work as a versatile solution for various applications. It has shown to be an effective choice for a variety of uses, including Pitched and Flat Roofs – Inner and outer walls – Flooring – Loft areas – Sunrooms – Outdoor structures – Sheds – Garages – As well as numerous other types of structures!
The versatility of this product simplifies the insulation process and reduces the need for using multiple insulation products in a singular project. It eliminates the need for several layers of thinner multifoil, possibly only requiring a single layer of EcoQuilt65.
Summary
In conclusion, EcoQuilt65 from Multifoils Direct is more than just an insulation product; it is a comprehensive solution for tackling modern construction challenges. With its excellent thermal efficiency, ease of use, environmental friendliness, and potential for further improvements, EcoQuilt65 is the perfect choice for those looking to create energy-efficient, comfortable, and eco-friendly spaces, including individuals, builders, and designers.
